Then you must be lost.  Want a cookie?  Kidding.  You, in fact, have stumbled across my journal.  Congrats!   Welcome!  If you’re not here by mistake, typo, or coercion, and genuinely have an interest in viewing this journal, please proceed.  Tread carefully though, since I tend to be a bit random and silly.  The harmless kind though, so no worries. =]

I have had this account for a while, but never really did anything with it (until now). I like a little bit of everything, but I have been going through a JE phase lately. If you don't know what that is, consider yourself lucky, hahah. I am content with just passing by here and there.

Read if you wanna try to decipher the inner workings of my brain, or if you’re bored.  Either one is fine. =]

I came across the Summer Snow jdrama with Domoto Tsuyoshi again and realized something...

...the cute guy on the left is Tsubasa.  When I watched it before, I had no idea since I wasn't into Johnny's that much although admittedly I thought he looked strangely familiar and should have known. =/

Oguri Shun is on the right.  This prolly was the second drama I saw him in. GTO being the first.  Man, was he tiny.  I didn't think he'd spring up like that, but looking at Nishikido, it shouldn't be too surprising.

I thought this drama was a good heart warming tale that kinda reminded me a bit of 14 sai no haha and something along the lines of 1 Litre of Tears. They're not similar to those really, but I think they're alike with the subject matter and emotional aspect with family and friends.  It's a pretty mellow drama overall.  I know I didn't like the opening theme song though.

Yeah, I used a Pokemon reference for my title.  It'll work.  Ack, I didn't think so much time has passed since my last entry.  Well, I'll keep it short and post some more in detailed entries later since I don't want the shock of my reemergence to overwhelm you. =P

I was watching Arashi's VIP Room with Ueto Aya & Becky.

Becky looks cute, right? Very girly.  Her episode with Arashi was really fun.  Lots of teasing and laughs. Anyway...

Ueto Aya's ideal sort man sounds like a jerk.  Erase her phone book? Sure.  Treat her like a puppy? Why not.  Girls are weird. =/  Becky on the other hand wanted someone with more depth, artistic and drama-like.   This got me thinking.  What are MY impressions of Arashi as dating material?  After a tiny bit of thought they are:
Ohno - Space Cadet
Sho - Calculating.  He may seem to be bullied and whatnot, but he knows what he is presenting as his image.
Nino - Take it or leave it type of guy.
Matsujun - Conceited, standoffish.  I think once you're on his good side, you're prolly really treasured.
Aiba - Dorky, excitable

If I were to choose, I would pick Aiba.  He may not be the best looking, but he seems kind and genuine which is what really matters to me.

Hopefully my next entry won't take as long to pop up, heh.

I've come across some interesting Youtube videos that helped me make a cool origami flower and do a self french manicure.

First, I was trying to find a video on making an origami Kawasaki Rose.  Well, my efforts resulted in a puffy box rather than a rose.  BUT, there was a link to a cool looking origami lotus that proved more fruitful.

Not bad, eh? =D  It's looks cool and tough to do, but it's really not.  Just a little patience and you can knock one out in no time.

Next, my mother was bored and decided to paint my nails.  She chose a rather bright pink and decorated it with a random design as shown on the left.  Well, a couple of weeks later it chipped and I was in the mood for a french manicure.

I rarely do my nails, so I think the french tips look all right.  The video made it seem easy.  Definitely cheaper than at a nail salon. =P

Would anyone be interested in Young Song scans?  I have a couple of old ones with NEWS & Tackey & Tsubasa.  They might be located online elsewhere though. *shrug*

It may not look like it from my journal, but I am into all sorts of music.  Pop, Rap, Country, Classical, Rock, American, Asian, etc.  Music trumps appearances for me which is kinda strange since I am into JE....   Before I immersed myself more into Japanese-land, I was more into Korean groups back in the day.  That's the opposite of what's happening now, right?  Japanese -> Korean?  Heh.  I guess I go against the flow of things.  =D

Back then I was into 1tym, Shinhwa, S.E.S....a lot of other people.  SM Town & YG were the main agencies that I was aware of back then.  SM being more poppish and YG more hip-hop oriented.  Ah, since I am listing out the names of different groups, can I tell you how stupid some of the names appear?  There were groups like Fin K.L. -> Fine Killing Liberty, H.O.T, G.O.D..  Um, okay... Anyway, I suppose the downfall for me was the appearance and sudden disappearance of newer groups.  They kept getting younger and more random.  Then came the realization that many groups consisted of a couple of average looking people with awesome voices paired with meh eye-candy to balance it out I guess.  That along with me being unable to grasp the language beyond "saranghae" and random Korean words prolly killed it for me. No real translators back then, so I was left in the dark.  Oh, lets not forget the crazy fangirls. *shudder*

I came across some random videos while organizing and thought I would share (LEAD / W-inds / & even Tackey & Tsubasa had some things tucked away in my files back there =O).  They're some of my favorites.  I'm doing this from memory, so mistakes may appear.

The following are LOW QUALITY.  Seriously.  Most of the video files are in .asf - .asx - random ones like that.  I don't even think I've seen those file types lately. =/  Windows Media Player should be able to play most of them.  These came from all over the place so if the credit isn't in the video itself, I just have no clue.  Sorry, it's been years.

With that, I hope you have sweet dreams tonight. <- doesn't sound creepy at all. Ha!  I may post the other half later if I'm up to it.  I hope you found something interesting or to your liking in this post.

Edit:  Before I forget, I made a sales post of random items in case you were interested in parting with your money in exchange for some shinies. =P

GaaoYa3 just posted a new pic of Taiyo.  He's looking good and happy. Very idolish, heheh. =D  The guy in the lower left hand corner looks like Shintaro from 3 Nen B Gumi 7 to me, so I wonder what sort of get together this is, or if it's some random fans getting a picture.  Glad to see that he's well!

Akama Naoya's Acting

As I promised [info]hikaeru , here are some Akama Naoya clips that I most likely found on Naver (Lingiyui's site, maybe?...)  He was in some sort of drama(?) about an unruly older sister or something.  I'm not really sure.

Edit: From [info]hikaeru :
"It's Platonic Sex, about his wild sister who run away after having conflict with his father, she got raped and a man "kept" her at his house and she works at club and, she had a boyfriend who worked at gay club because he's having big debt with the club owner.

She sold her body to pay her boyfriend's debt but then her boyfriend left her after she finished his debt.
Then a famous AV actress found her and invited her to join AV world, while at that time, her father's hospitalized.
And... To be continue lol as I couldn't find the second part of the drama yet... lol I guess it's based on real story of ex-AV actress, Ai Ijima (?!) who died recently...
Thank you for clearing that up. =]

These clips are really short.  There are also some sound clip files in there from the same show.

Download here.

I bought some magazines a couple of months ago and since one of them was damaged in the mail, I have no qualms about messing around with it on a scanner.  As such, I scanned practically everything, skipping only about 15 pages since I prolly won't be undertaking a similar project ever again. =O

1)  You can do what you want with them, just don't steal these and claim them as your own, please. =]
2)  I don't have the best scanner in the world so colors may be off. It's nothing photoshop can't fix (probably =\).
3)  As you can see I have no idea who some of these people are.  Any help identifying them would be appreciated.

Now I know how much effort and patience it takes to share scans. So a big thank you goes out to everyone who uses their time to do so. =D

Please don't claim these as your own scans (not like they're the best quality anyway!).  Enjoy! =D

Edit:  Thank you for your kind comments!  I really appreciate it. =]

An Old Ya-Ya-yah Clip

I was sorting files and found this short clip among them.  It's a cute and funny 2002 music station clip that features SMAP & Ya-Ya-yah.  Ya-Ya-yah are introducing themselves and are asked who they look up to.  Their answers don't seem to satisfy their sempai. =P

Get it here.  It's a 1 min. 52 secs.,14mb file that was converted to AVI from an flv meaning I ripped it from some streaming site some time ago.

They look super young!  You can find their performance from this appearance at Be Ambitious.

Edit:  Thank you for your kind comments! =D  I also uploaded scans of the 2004.08 Myojo in this post, if you're interested. =]

Scans

As I've mentioned earlier, I am trying to scan this magazine.  It's not going so well though.
1) This is what it looks like naturally in poor lighting.
2) After scanning it takes on a reddish-orange tint.
3) Trying to fix the tint results in a washed-out look.
I wonder if I should bother continuing to do this.  I am amazed at the time and patience one needs to scan things because it is tedious and can screw up the magazine.  I don't mind this time because this magazine was already messed up in the mail to begin with.  A little more bending won't hurt.  If I do continue, which would be more preferable?  Leave it as is (2nd), or fix it (3rd)?  Any input would be welcome. =]

Seigi no Mikata - Ally of Justice

Poison
It's been a few days since I've been back home.  Time to play catch up online now that I have my own computer again.  Thank goodness my icon is distinctive since I can skim entries to see if I said anything. =D

I've just finished Seigi no Mikata.  This show about a 15 year old girl who has an older sister with evil tendencies.  However, instead of getting a karmic smack down, her sister's actions lead people to find happiness elsewhere.  This has contributed to her reputation as an "Ally of Justice".

Characters )

It's supposed to be a comedy, but it's not exactly that.  To me, it more about the trials and tribulations of a girl who is at the bidding of her older sister.  Kind of like a normal family movie.  You begin to think, "Why don't you just tell your sis to shove it?"  Sometimes it gets a bit draggy and annoying, too.  The ending was meh for me.  Shida Mirai's acting is great though.  So overall, it's watchable, but don't expect to be laughing constantly since it is labeled as a "comedy"..

Besides that, I'm in the process of scanning an old Myojo.  Here's a teaser from a flashback page.  Guess who it is. =]

Speaking of flashbacks....

Dancing Fairies

According to a 10 year old, when you're sleeping, fairies come and dance on your nose.  Their footprints subsequently become freckles.  =]

So, I've been following some Shounen Jump series, namely Bleach and Naruto.  Naruto is still awesome and captures my attention although Naruto has become some sort of crybaby lately. =/

Bleach on the other hand keeps continuing on with these endless battles.  I'm all for action, but it would be nice to know some more plot/character development.  There are also too many characters new and old.  Sometimes I find myself thinking. "Why can't they be killed off already?"  Plus, this last chapter had a whole batch of cliches pushing my eyes to the ceiling.  Please make it stop...or was it go?

Mind Playing Tricks

Today, at the phone store, I saw a Miura Haruma look-alike.  The eyes struck me and I was intrigued.  ...Then, I got a closer look and realized that no, he doesn't really look like him.  He was really tall, skinny, and when he spoke, my illusion completely shattered.  His voice!  Gah, it was sooooo, blah.  Imagine the voice of a slight, really pale, nerdlike office guy with no social or cultural influence.  It was the voice of a condescending brown noser.  Why was it bothering me?  AH! He strongly reminded me of my friend who I've had ups and downs with.  That tone.  That look.  Gah.  No.  One is enough.  Please, not another clone!

I also impulsively bought some old JE magazines which I wanted to take pictures of and show, but I still haven't gotten the chance to do anything of that sort yet.  Flipping through them, I get this thought "Please keep the clothes on!"  I rather not see half-nakedness unless they are near a body of water or something.  Otherwise it's just creepy, not alluring at all.  Does that make me weird?  I guess it's because my imagination does wonders and I rather not be disappointed in reality, hahah.  ;]  Stay tuned.

In the meantime...

Among other things, I have been looking for a camera or scanner to upload some pictures of things that I bought recently.   I also have some new ideas for "out of context" that I need to make pictures for, hence the lack of "real" updates for a couple of weeks since, lets face it, a wall of text is not fun.  I'll try to get it together.

Until next time.

Wow, it's been a couple of weeks since I last posted.  =O  Well, in these last weeks I've changed scenery.  Instead of the lovely tree lined streets and highways of the east, I am trapped in the upper midwest.  That's a weird statement since I live in the midwest, but some places are more boring than others.  Plus the weather is unpredictable.  It goes from upper forties to high eighties with humidity and vice versa.  Are they trying to kill me here?  That's the type of weather which would land me with a cold in no time flat.  Anyway, other than that I am getting reacquainted with the insanity that is MI drivers.  The roads may have something to do with it.  The road construction doesn't look like it has progressed at all since I've been here two years ago.  It looks exactly the same!  Hmm.  Ah, I'm just a bit cranky since it's hot and humid.
